Bring Them Home

Painted the day before Kfir Bibas's first birthday. Shiri Bibas is looking down at her boys serenely while they are looking straight at the camera, with Kfir sporting the broad smile and glistening eyes that have captured the hearts of people across the globe. The whole nation of Israel has been haunted by the last images we saw of Shiri, terrified, holding her boys tight as they were taken as hostages into Gaza. I needed to create a different version of this hug, almost as my prayer for what is to come.
